The winners of last season take on the lowest team staying in the competition. Sunderland has surpassed Portsmouth, Exeter City and Huddersfield to reach this competition stage, while Manchester United won the third tier West Brom and the wolves in the fourth and fifth round, respectively.

Although Marc Skinner’s side has not yet faced a major test in this year’s competition, their WSL form this season shows a comfortable victory – it is a seven -straight victory for the weekend and are the closest challengers to Chelsea leaders.

The Sunderland, on the other hand, is in the middle of the table in the women’s championship with just seven wins from 15 league games. Even if Skinner revolves his team for this accessory, United should have more than enough to pass with relative ease.

Aston Villa has proven to be a hard test for Manchester City Over the years, this season was no different. Villa found the net in each of the WSL meetings this term, but the Manchester Club won closely in both cases.

Villa has shown before she is able to upset the giants in this competition. It was at this stage in 2022/23 that Rachel Daly shot the villa in a 2-1 marginal victory over the city to reach the semifinals.

However, although the villa is now working under a new director at Natalia Arroyo, their form this season was rather inconsistent. For this reason, the city must go to the top, though both teams are likely to find the net.

It’s hard to see anything else than Chelsea’s victory in this accessory. Unfortunately for Crystal Palace, they undoubtedly face the most impressive team in Europe.

Chelsea 7-0 from the Palace at Selhurst Park earlier this season is still engraved in the memories of Eagles fans, a strong reminder of how ruthless Chelsea can be on their day.

As they struggle at the bottom of the WSL table, it is already formed to be a time to forget the palace. Chelsea should have more than enough to get through this tie without lesions.

This is one of the toughest games to call this weekend, as Arsenal only threw the last WSL meeting with Liverpool, winning 1-0. While the Gunners have wiped many groups this term, Liverpool proved to be the hardest side to collapse.

Taking this, the Merseyside Club has endured an inconsistent season, even undergoing a change in the administrator and struggled to use last year’s top finish. While reaching a FA Cup semifinal would be an important achievement for Liverpool, the priority remains away from the risk of relegation to the WSL and setting their safety beyond doubt.

It may not be simple for Arsenal, but they should get to the top of the final whistle. Unfortunately for neutral, this year’s competition is unlikely to produce any major turmoil.

Forecast: Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool
