Pep Guardiola admits honestly after Man City end up waiting for victory away from home

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admitted relegation-threatened Leicester City were better than their defenders for a Victory 2-0 at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Guardiola’s team was facing what to choose define as three “big chances”, all of which Leicester missed on a particularly wasteful afternoon for the promoted hosts. Savinho, who had been the Premier League’s most wasteful finisher with 27 unsuccessful efforts heading into the weekend, opened the scoring for City before Erling Haaland sealed a much-needed three points with a header in the second half.
talking with Sky Sports immediately after City’s first win since October, Guardiola I wasn’t entirely impressed. “Our state of mind is in a better position,” admitted the Catalan coach. “It was tight in the second half, they were much better. We don’t have the energy to last 90 minutes. Hopefully the New Year will help us bounce back.
“To get results you have to do something. To do it in the position we’re in, a lot of good things happened today. It’s not nice right now, it’s just a relief. We’ve done amazing things for many years. It’s not the best .”
City’s win, just their second in any competition in the last 14 games, lifted the Sky Blues to fifth place.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom for Guardiola, who went on to praise Savinho’s impact. The summer recruit stood up HaalandThe second after scoring the first goal of the game. “He has incredible skill and quality” citysaid the head of the Brazilian.
“The team is not at its best, but it tries until the end. It is very aggressive on both sides. The moment you score one or two, you will score a lot. I am very happy for him. He played in the left and can make these crosses.
