Shakur Stevenson looked at a photo posted by Shawn Porter moments after his session on Shakur’s title to defend WBC Lightweight Belt against Floyd Schofield on February 22 at The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
Porter was Trying to give Shakur some cover Saying in the photo of the photo, “the child looks taller because of the angle at which the photo was taken.” It’s not a reality. Shakur is a huge awesome weight at 135 and he has to fight with the killers at 140. I’m just surprised that Porter didn’t explain why Shakur’s face looked all hit. Could not blame this in the corner of the camera.
In the picture, Shakur trapped over the porter, looking much larger than him, like a young Primo Carnera. Stevenson gives boxing fans excuses because he can’t reach up to 140 to fight Ernesto mercadoand 147 went out of the door. Seemed more than big enough to campaign in any of these sections. It just looks like Stevenson is flat scared and does not want to deal with the power of young lions like Ernesto.
