Apple users in 2025 are headed for the best year of their lives, probably

2025 started off on the wrong foot, depending on where you are. But if you are in a part of the United States that is not on fire, at least there is some leverage on the road in the form of Apple rumors. later product launch. What are the escapes, if not a reason, to distract from the current horror and heartbreaking state of affairs?
Every week’s favorite of every noisemaker Bloomberg newsletter, written by Mark Gurman, reveals what’s on the horizon for Apple in 2025to at least based on his sources. Much of Gurman’s newsletter reads like an astrology chart for the year; Here’s where your stars align and why that justifies what’s happening to you. But since we don’t have any other tea leaves to turn to, it’s a good place to start. This year may be one of Apple’s most significant years. Gurman says we remember it as “a step towards more revolutionary products”.
Gurman has already solidified that much noise iPhone SE will see a revival alongside this year’s iPhone 16 line. Just don’t expect it to launch just this month. It will probably debut in the middle of the year, around April, with a major update to iOS 18. That’s all we talked in the noise. It is good news for the rumor that is mentioned in the Gurman newsletter.
The updated iPhone SE it is expected to lose the home button and adopt Face ID for security, like the rest of the product line. It will also have some form of Apple Intelligence, as rumors have already whispered, since that’s where Apple’s R&D has been going lately. It could also have the name iPhone 16E. Guess what the “E” stands for? I still think it means “economy”. Whatever the name, Gurman has said in the past that it will bring a significant “shake-up to the iPhone lineup.”
Once that happens, we can expect the iPad to see an iPhone SE-style revival. The new iPads will essentially be categorized as “low-end.” Accompany a family of iPad Air models and entry-level Magic Keyboards to match.
Products that do not have was cooled in years, that is to say the Apple TV and HomePod, it will be resurrected with a new design and improved features. Gurman adds that these two will also be positioned with Apple’s smart home ecosystem in mind, which has been dormant for the past two years. (To be fair, it’s been quiet everywhere; the smart home isn’t as vibrant of a market place as it used to be.)
For Mac heads, the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air will receive an instant refresh. They are already in production overseas and include the latest M4 chip in MacBook Pro and iPad. The Mac Pro is also getting its next juice-up, but don’t expect a design change.
The latest juicy tidbit from the Gurman newsletter is a gut punch Vision Pro fans: He reminds us of his role in the Walled Garden remains a work in progress. Don’t expect a second generation Vision Pro this year – this soon – as the first generation is still finding its place in the ecosystem. Instead, wait an improved AirTag, which he sold a lot better for Apple.
