Aston Villa vs Club Brugge: Preview, Forecasts and Lineups

Aston Villa wants to secure their place in the Champions League quarter -finals when they welcome the Club Brugge to West Midlands on Wednesday night.

The Unai Emery side took a big step towards the last eight in Bruges, supporting a perhaps 3-1 full win. Brugge was superior to much of the competition after falling back, but were canceled by the Villans before visitors scored twice late.

Villa They have shone in Europe in Villa Park and an extension of their undefeated run home in this competition will see them by bypassing their Belgian opponents.

Nicky Hayen’s side, however, has already broken out a surprise or two in this year’s competition. They gave Manchester City A terrorism on the day 8 of the league phase before the stunning Atalanta at Play-Off, winning both legs.

Visitors are also heading to the return leg by claiming local boom rights against Cercle Brugge on Sunday.

Marco Asensio and Emiliano Martinez lost Saturday’s victory in Bredford, but the couple will be available for Wednesday’s second leg. Robin Olsen kept a clean leaf in the latter’s absence.

Villa’s injury list includes only Ross Barkley with Amadou Onana for an impending return. The dominant Belgian midfielder is unlikely to start on Wednesday, but he could win minutes off the bench after several weeks due to an injury.

Axel Disasi was impressed at the beginning of his career at the villa and will have to keep his place in the original XI, but Emery will have to decide whether to use the Frenchman in the right-back or center of his defense. The villa boss can now, of course, call Pau Torres, while Tyrone Mings was an important reason why they won the first leg.

Aston Villa predicted the composition against Club Brugge (4-2-3-1): Martinez? Excerpts, Konsa, Mings, Digne. McGinn, Tielemans. Asensio, Rogers, Rashford. Watkins.

Joaquin Seys and Bjorn Meiler deal with the injuries that are obliged to keep them again from the action. The couple were also absent for the first leg.

Visitors differently have no concerns about injury and we will have to see a similar XI starting starts last week despite their defeat.

Ferran Jutgla will drive Brugge’s line after a arm’s note in Derby’s victory over the weekend.

Club Brugge predicted the composition against Aston Villa (4-2-3-1): Mignolet; Seys, Ordonez, Mechele, De Cuyper. Jachari, Vetlesen. Talbi? Vanaken, Tzolis. Jutgla.

These two delayed goals last Tuesday may have taken the tie away from Brugge, who will get confidence in their performance in Bergamo to be directed to this second leg.

Villa Park is a discouraging environment under the lights, however, and have a mountain of a duty to repeat their heroine from the round of the play-off.

Hayen’s men will not do this a procession for Emery’s side, but the villa is well positioned to move on to the quarter -finals.

Forecast: Aston Villa 2-1 Bruge Club
