Australia’s Grace Harris warns England for remaining Women’s Ashes 2025

Australia took a decisive 10-0 lead in the all-around Women’s Ashes 2025 after a rain-affected six-run victory in the DLS method in the second T20I in Canberra. The win not only sealed the series for Australia but also extended their unbeaten streak to six consecutive Ashes triumphs. With a clean sweep in sight, the Aussies are now focused on maintaining their dominance in the remaining matches.
Australia’s Grace Harris aims for a perfect record against England
Grace Harrisone of Australia’s standout performers, has expressed her desire for a 16-0 whitewash in the ongoing series. Speaking to BBC TMS, the dynamic all-rounder stressed her determination to “embarrass” the England side, acknowledging their competitiveness as she set her sights on a clean sweep.
“A calcium would be excellent. England beat us in the last series. For me it’s a loss, a draw is boring. But 16-0, that would be very, very good if we could trouble this England team because they’re actually a very competitive outfit and they’ve got some very good players among them.” Harris said.

Her comments come as the Australians prepare for the final T20I in Adelaide on Saturday and the four-day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which starts on January 30 and carries four points. Harris was instrumental in Australia’s win in Canberra, smashing an explosive 35 off just 17 balls to propel her team to a challenging total of 185/5.
England’s missed opportunities in Women’s Ashes 2025
Despite Australia’s dominance, England had moments where they could have turned the series around. In the second ODI, they were not out chasing 181, and in the second T20I, they pushed Australia into the final before rain sealed victory for the home side. Those missed opportunities highlighted the fine margins in a match otherwise controlled by Australia. Since the inception of the multi-format Women’s Ashes in 2013, no team has achieved a complete clean sweep. In the last series on Australian soil in 2022, England failed to win a single match but earned four points after two outs and a drawn Test.
