Bournemouth 1 – 2 Brentford

Brdford made five away wins to bounce a 2-1 victory in Bournemouth, whose hope for the Champions League qualifications took a dent.

A dangerous running and cross by Milos Kerkez was the catalyst for Vitaly Janelt who sent the ball to his own net to open the scoring for the hosts, but Brdford hit behind a Yoane Wissa header – the 14th league of the championship Arrizabalaga Caught of Man’s Earth.

Antoine Semenyo crushed a close -scale header from Crossbar, as the home team played with their usual threat and intensity, however, their final finish is missing.

Brdford struck against the game to pull the points when Christian Norgaard fell home after a long shot at the Bournemouth Box and were holding to win a fifth consecutive championship game for the first time in 15 years.

Andoni Iraola’s team has now lost four of the last six Premier League games, as their season seems to stop in the wrong time. They are four points from Manchester City to Thursday.

Meanwhile, bees are now undefeated in all six meetings with Bournemouth in the Premier League and remain the only team that have not hit the top flight.

Norgaard stock is growing – but what will happen next?

Sky Sports’ Lewis Jones:

Associations across Europe must closely monitor the status of Norgaard’s contract.

Again this season, the Danish midfielder was the background and hit his heart what Brdford is doing such a dangerous team for any opposition – as Bournemouth discovered. His influence on the pitch to get Thomas Frank’s message is vital to maintaining Brdford’s performance so consistent. And, it emerges with the odd goal or two, which always helps. The winner of his goal was his third strike in eight appearances.

The Norgaard Convention is evolving this summer, although the Association has the potential to expand it in one year, but nothing has been notified about the situation, which must have a little fanbase of bees. Everton has been linked to information, which seems to move in a side movement when it is simply evaluating the position of the team championship.

Saving thanks for bees to persuade Norgaard to stay simply can be his age. He is 31 years old now, so that his chances of nailing a long -term contract somewhere that would consider one step above the Brentford seems unlikely.

They have to do whatever they can to keep him.

Thomas Frank welcomed the Brentford 2-1 victory over Bournemouth, which was also the 50th Premier League victory and said it was a day that the club should be proud.

Bradford leader Thomas Frank said:

“I think we played a good first half, I’m very happy with it in many, many ways. We had six great moments where we didn’t get a shot. These are great times to get more.

“The second half bournemouth started better than us for the first five, 10 minutes, then I think it was relatively uniform. Then we go up 2-1 and from there it wasn’t a beautiful game, but that sometimes happens.

“I think it was the first time for a long time, where it was a uniform game and we made it. So I’m really happy.

“Keith Andrews (Brentford Set-Piece coach) is doing a great job. Players do a great job and the training around is very good.

“This is the 50th Premier League victory and there are only 10 clubs that have done this faster than us.

“Of course, we want to look for and target as high as possible.”

Iraola: We’re not efficient enough

Bournemouth Boss Andomi Iraola:

“It’s frustrating to lose because we did a lot of good things. We probably had the best chances of scoring, but we’re not efficient enough, we don’t make that difference.

“We have to create many chances and other groups such as Brentford need less chance of scoring. They were more effective than us. They punished us. We did not find the odds well when we create them and this is the main difference.

“When you have the clearer chances, but at the end of the day, what matters is the points.

Situations Opt: Wissa and MBEUMO reside

  • Wissa immediately competed in 16 goals (14 goals, 2 assists) in the Premier League this season, most in a single campaign, and is the first bee player to clear 40 goals in the competition.
  • Bryan Mbeumo directly competed in 20 goals (15 goals, 5 assists) in the Premier League this season, making only Bradford’s second player to reach this milestone in a single campaign, after Ivan Toney in 2022-23 (24, 20 goals, 4 assists).
  • Mbeumo has helped twice as many Premier League (6) goals for Yoane Wissa teammate than any other Brdford player, with each of his last two aids for the Congolese Forward coming against Bournemouth.
