Boxing Results: Subriel Matiias dominates Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela, securing TKO victory in IBF Title Eliminator
Former IBF World Super Lightweight Subriel Matiias champion stopped Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela in the eighth round of an authorization of a Saturday night title at Coliseo Tomas Dones, in Fajardo by Puerto Rico.
Matias, 22-2 (22) defeated Valenzuela, 30-4-1 (17) At 2:55 of the eighth round of a scheduled 12 rounds, an IBF Light Welterweight title title to determine the compulsory for champion Richardson Hitchins.
In the first round, Matias, a well -known slow starter, overcame Valenzuela. In the second round, Matias landed left hooks on the chin of Valenzuela. Midway Valenzuela returned well by making a narrow round. In the third round, Matias had reacted the crowd when he shook Valenzuela with a left hook in the middle of the road. Valenzuela returned to the use of his hole, passing through the round to unstable legs. In the fourth round, Matias cut Valenzuela’s right eyebrow. In the first round, Fortuna Midway landed on the left on the chin of Santiago, who seconds later landed the right to the chin. In the last seconds both fell on the canvas. WBA Continental Light Welterweight champion Nestor Bravo, 23-1 (16) lost a questionable 10 round division decision in Xolisani ‘Novema the Wasp’ Ndongeni, 33-6 (19).
In the first five rounds, Bravo was chasing Ndongeni, who faced him well. In the last five rounds, it was front and back, with Bravo chasing and, for the most part, getting more punches than Ndongeni in a close battle.
