Celtic vs Bayern Munich – Champions League preview, team news, expected lines, how to watch on television and forecast
Preview
Celtic will not face much harder tests than German Giants Bayern Munich in the Champions League play-offs.
The Scottish champions finished 21st in the championship, just two points away from eliminating.
Their reward is a fascinating conflict against Harry Kane and Co, who ended the 12th, only one point in the automatic qualifications.
However, the Bundesliga side will show their chances of disassembling their British opposition, though it is unlikely to be as simple as it looks on paper.
Celtic got points against those who like Atalanta, young boys and Dinamo Zagreb during the initial phase of the championship, but suffered a humiliating 7-1 loss in Borussia Dortmund.
The result will surely let Bayern lick their lips, but they must be careful at Celtic Park, renowned for its hostile atmosphere.
Speaking in front of the game, Kompany said: “It will definitely be special for us and for fans.
“There have been a lot of discussion of the two extra games added to the program, but now everyone is looking forward to it. These games are separate, they are great opportunities to feel something very special.
“I am pleased to live through these moments. It will be a stunning Champions League night. β
Rodgers is based on his team’s ability to score goals and pointed out the games he has played against Kompany before being a reason why Celtic can come as winners.
He added: “We can win goals. They obviously have threats but they are the stages of the Champions League.
“Every team has great quality and I have reached some of these teams, so I know how they play.
“Vincent Kompany will have played against my Swansea teams, Leicester and Liverpool, so he will know how my teams work. It will be a fantastic game and I will look forward to it. It is my job to convince the players that we can We get a positive result. “
