Cheltenham Festival: Brighterdaysahead heading over fences next season after the championship disappointment | Racing news

Gordon Elliott confirmed his plans to send Brighterdaysahead over the fences next season after a frustrating effort to Tuesday’s Hurdle.

Mare owned by Gigginstown was well from her camp to upset Constitution Hill in the feature of the day by the Cheltenham Festival.

But everything went wrong for the top fantasies in the race. Constitution Hill and State Man fell, while Brighterdaysahead ended in the fourth behind a trio of foreigners: Golden Ace, Burdett Road and Fog Winter.

Speaking exclusively to the ruthless host Matt Chapman in Cheltenham, Elliott said: “I would say we will hunt now, for sure.

“He will want a trip and stay three miles. We will probably start it over the middle distance and see how we go.
