This is today’s edition Download, Our weekend newsletter offers a daily dose of what is going on in the world of technology.
What is next to smart glasses
There are dozens of every technical gadget that becomes a home name, there are dozens of those who never catch. This year marks the full decades because Google has confirmed that it is stopping the production of Google Glass, and for a long time it felt that mixed-realization products would be the maintenance of enthusiasts rather than casual customers.
Fast-forward 10 years, and smart glasses-that are about to become. The Sleeper design is definitely making this new amount of glasses more attractive. But even more importantly, smart glasses are finally coming to use, and it is clear that the Big Tech is betting that older specs will be the next big customer device category. Here’s what to expect from smart glasses of 2025 and beyond.

Four Chinese AI Startups to look beyond Deepsik
Deepsk – Chinese AI Startup is now challenging the global giants. Since the launch of Chattgup in 2022, the country’s tech ecosystem has been in a relentless search of homegrown options, which has given startups and billion dollars of bats.

But two years of China’s generating AI boom we are looking at a shift: small innovations have to make their own place or missing the risk. What started as a sprint has become a high-tone marathon. China’s AI ambitions were never much. We have identified these four Chinese AI companies like watching .I.

Race to save our Lives Neline Life from the Digital Dark Age

2024 August Gust
There is a photo of my daughter I like. She is sitting in our old back garden, laughing, holding a cool hand on the chubby face. It was taken on a digital camera in 2013, when she was almost one, but now she lives on Google photos.
But if, one day, Google stopped working? What if I lost my precious photos forever? For many archivists, alarm bells ring. Outside the world, they are ruining defect websites or risk data collections to save as much digital life as possible. Others are working on ways to store that data in formats, which will last hundreds of thousands of years.
The effort raises complex questions. What is important for us? What and why we decide what to keep – and what do we let go? And how will the future pay generations capable of saving? Read the whole story.
