Eddie Howe has admitted Newcastle are selling a player against his wishes

Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka waved goodbye to fans after their 2-0 win over Arsenal in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

Eddie Howe and Newcastle are not settling for player departures

Dubravka is not the only player whose future at Newcastle is uncertain. Kieran Trippier, another key player under Howe, is also reportedly being considered for a departure from the board. However, Howe is once again said to be at odds with the hierarchyas he considers Trippier a vital part of his team.

While Dubravka’s move to Al-Shabab has been reported as imminent, Eddie Howe’s determination to keep hold of the goalkeeper could halt the transfer. With Newcastle struggling on multiple fronts this season, Howe’s preference for squad stability may clash with the club’s financial realities.
