Eureka’s latest might just be their best robot vacuum yet

Unveiled at CES 2025, the Eureka J15 Max Ultra isn’t just a fancy name, it’s a capable and powerful robot vacuum with some impressive specs and features. A suction power of 22,000 Pa may be the most impressive number, tripling the highest figures compared to this time last year.
Eureka is most proud of its new IntelliView™ AI 2.0 navigation system. A vision system that integrates multiple sensors and techniques to identify obstacles to plan an efficient cleaning route.
What’s new with the J15 Max Ultra?

Eureka isn’t reinventing the wheel here, the J15 Max Ultra takes the best features of its previous flagship models and takes them to the next level. In side-by-side combat, the J15 Max is better than the Ultra J15 Pro Ultra in almost every way, but when you look at them it is clear that they are part of the same family.
In addition to IntelliView™ AI 2.0, the increase to 22,000 Pa is a jump of almost 6,000 Pa compared to the J15 Pro Ultra. Speaking of the jump, the J15 Max Ultra can manage up to 1.57 inches, which is a 50% improvement over previous models. The next best increase is battery life. We haven’t tested real-world results yet, but the new machine packs a 6,400mAh battery, compared to the 5,200mAh battery on older devices.

Remember how excited we were about the ScrubExtend feature? The bot’s ability to push the mop pad to scrub against the wall remains, and Eureka added it to the broom brush as well. SweepExtend will provide full floor coverage in the corners of your room.
Getting the SweepExtend arm clogged with hair would be horrible, so Eureka developed the new DragonClaw side brush. DragonClaw uses new design geometry to resist tangles by preventing hair from wrapping around the brush.
What is IntelliView™ AI 2.0?

One of the most common questions people ask about robot vacuums is whether they can work in the dark. The answer is usually “yes, but not as good as the light.” Eureka addresses these concerns with the J15 Max Ultra, they added night vision!
If you’ve come across any home security camera, you’ve probably seen the infrared night vision sensor appear grayed out. With LiDAR, Line Laser, regular RGB cameras, LED light and a new infrared sensor, the J15 Max Ultra not only sees in the dark, it can effectively pick out more obstacles, including clear liquids on your floors. We all know that it is important to vacuum dry debris and wipe away liquids, J15 Max Ultra will take this task very seriously.

In addition to the new features in the J15 Max Ultra, the new bot includes many popular and effective features from the premium models.
- With the FlexiRazor haircut, tangled hair remains a problem of the past
- ScrubExtend provides full coverage of the floor while cleaning
- The self-cleaning base station can collect dust, wash and dry your broom, and more. continues
- A large water and vacuum reservoir reduces maintenance requirements
- Floor detection with Roller Brush Lift and Automatic Mop Lift ensures the right cleaning strategy for all floors.
Basically, we’ve found the J15 Pro Ultra to be Eureka’s best bot to date, a crown we’ll hand over to the J15 Max Ultra as soon as it becomes available.
When can I buy Eureka J15 Max Ultra?

The Eureka J15 Max Ultra is a fantastic upgrade to the J15 line of robotic vacuum cleaners. It takes all the best features of the previous J15 models and makes them even better, offering a whopping 22,000 Pa of suction, actual night vision, a bigger battery and better ground clearance.
More than CES
Eureka is also presenting a mid-range offering at CES. The new Eureka J15 Ultra is in some ways a mild upgrade over the older J15 Pro Ultra, but on the other hand it’s slightly less capable than the J15 Pro Ultra. The roller brush has no lift and the base tray is self-cleaning, an attractive compromise for the price drop. The Eureka J15 Ultra will go on sale in March 2025 for $799.
