Finpension attacks ETF savings plans with 0% fees by 2025 / Next Stop: Bank license – Fintech Switzerland Digital Finance News

The finpension will grow faster in 2024 than before. Assets under management increased by more than one billion francs to more than three billion francs.
Finpension wants to further increase growth by temporarily removing fees for its newly launched investment solution.
The dynamic development of the market with an increased willingness to change
finpension was able to register more than 15,000 openings in 2024. This means that the growth has more than doubled compared to last year. Finpension attributes the increased growth on the one hand to a wider product range and, on the other hand, to the greater willingness of Swiss bank customers to transfer. To benefit the most from the increased market dynamics, finpension 2025 waives the 0.39% fee for the investment solution for free assets.
Solution for investing capital withdrawals from pension plans
The origin of the investment solution lies in the desire of existing customers to have their pension funds managed by finpension even after retirement. The offer relies on inexpensive ETFs and low management fees. It also makes it possible to build assets with a savings plan and invest money in private markets starting from just one franc.
The fee for this investment solution for free assets is now temporarily reduced to 0.00%. Fee Holiday, as a fee waiver is called in English, applies to new customers and to all customers.
From a niche player to an all-finance app banking license in 2025?
Until now, finpension has been in the pension provision with securities solution. Since 2024, finpension also offers a retirement account with 100% cash. In addition, the investment solution was launched for free assets that are not tied to pension plans. The long-term goal of Finpension is an all-finance app, which also includes payment services and mortgage business. To this end, finpension is seeking a banking license.
