Google makes it easy to delete personal information from search results

Google Public On Wednesday it is updating its “results about you” tool, making users easier to protect and remove their personal information from search results. The company says it improves the sign-up process and simplifies the request for direct removal from Google search.
The tool can be used to actively inspect and delete things like physical address from your phone number, email address or search results.
With this latest update, users can now click three points next to the Google search result to view the updated menu that allows you to submit a request to remove the “Remove these results” option immediately.
In the past, you would have had to navigate to the “Results about You” tool hidden in your Google Account settings.

Also, users can now use a three-dot menu to refresh their information.
For example, if you have removed the content about you from a website and the search has not been updated to reflect this, you can request freshness so that Google’s systems will “re -” to get the latest information.
To use the feature, you need to complete the form to provide your contact information to allow Google to check if you match the information on the search result page. If Google finds the results with your information you can choose to receive notifications.
The company notes that your information is not shared or used to personalize your experience in Google products.
This feature is available to users of the US, UK, Ireland, Australia Stralia, Canada, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, France, Sweden, Thailand, India and Indonesia.
