OnePlus Open 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the original Open From 2023, it was one of the best foldable devices of that year. So clearly, Open 2 has a lot to live up to.
Today, a new leak brings us the first look at the OnePlus Open 2. These renders are claimed to be based on a “late-stage prototype,” so little things may still be changed, but nothing major.

It will be OnePlus Open 2 bigger and thinner unlike its predecessor, it retains the large circular camera island with prominent Hasselblad branding. The phone will be just 10mm thick when folded and will have an IPX8 rating for water resistance. In comparison, the OnePlus Open is 11.7mm thick when folded and has an IPX4 rating for splash resistance only.

The OnePlus Open 2 is rumored to feature an 8-inch “2K” LTPO OLED foldable display, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 6.4-inch flip screen. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
The phone is said to be equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide and a 50-megapixel telephoto and 3x optical zoom. Selfies will be handled by two cameras, one on the internal display and the other on the cover display, which will be 32 MP and 20 MP respectively (although it is not clear which one).
Keeping the lights on will be a 5,900mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device will come with Android 15 and OxygenOS 15 out of the box.
OnePlus Open 2, as we expected, will be rebranded Oppo Find N5It will go on sale in China early next year. According to this report, Open 2 will be released “at the end of Q1”, so sometime in March – note that this contrary to recent rumours We’re betting we’ll see the next foldable OnePlus in the second half of next year.
