Here is why Shakib Al Hasan has not received his salary for four months from Bangladesh Cricket Board

Bangladesh’s cricket icon, Shakib al Hasanfaces a significant financial obstacle as it remains unpaid for the last four months of its contract with Bangladesh’s cricket (BCB).

Shakib, one of the most famous all-rounders in international cricket, has been involved in legal challenges in Bangladesh. BCB’s attitude on the financial impact

Shakib is entitled to receive about BDT 48 Lakhs (US $ 38,400), with the exception of taxes for the period. Despite BCB’s assurance that they will honor their contractual obligations, the frozen bank accounts have created a logistical challenge to make these payments.

Nazmul abedinThe chairman of the BCB cricket business reiterated the Board of Directors to fulfill their contractual obligations. “He (shakib) will get his salary according to the agreement, because if you play or not there is an agreement and we will surely try to fulfill our commitment according to the agreement”, Abedin told CricBuzz. This assurance underlines BCB’s intention to resolve the issue as soon as the legal obstacles are cleared.
