ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at risk as Pakistan placed high warning after warning of terrorist attack

Pakistan has been placed in high warning following reports of information warning of a possible terrorist attack during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Pakistan is facing a terrorist threat during ICC Champions Trophy 2025

According to the latest reports, Pakistan’s Information Office has warned of possible threats from extremist groups, such as Teheric-E-Tatpan Pakistan (TTP), ISIS and Battle-based organizations. These groups plan to kidnap the aliens who attend the Trophy ICC Champions.

“Sources have revealed that the notice has been issued against various terrorist groups, including Teheric-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), ISIS and other Backedan-based components,” Republic World said.

Pakistan hosts an ICC tournament for the first time in 29 years. India had already expressed concerns about security in Pakistan and refused to play there. The ICC has agreed on a hybrid model where India’s struggles will take place in Dubai. Meanwhile, security measures in Pakistan have increased.

Afghanistan Information Agency issues warnings about possible ISKP attacks

According to information reports, ISKP (Islamic State – Khorasan province) plans to rent real estate in city areas without CCTV surveillance as safe homes. These sites, often accessible only by rickshaw or motorcycle, will be used to move abducted people at night to avoid detection.

Meanwhile, the Afghan Intelligence Service (GDI) has issued warnings on possible ISKP attacks on basic locations. Authorities have intensified efforts to monitor lack of workers associated with the group.

“Right now, everyone is talking about Trophy Champions – in schools, houses, markets, offices, everywhere. The events of 2009 feel like a bad dream. We were punished for 10 years. Our cricket went backwards,” he said recently Inzamam-Ul-Haq in Reuters.

Pakistan on the brink of elimination by ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Pakistan is on the brink of elimination by ICC’s Trophy Champions after suffering from defeats behind New Zealand and India. The team, led by Mohammad Rizwan, lost their tournament in New Zealand with 60 runs in Karachi, followed by a six wicket defeat in India in Dubai on Sunday.

India’s victory has secured a place in the semifinals, and the chances of going to Pakistan are thin. To qualify for Pakistan, they have to beat Bangladesh with a significant margin, hoping that both India and Bangladesh defeated New Zealand in the upcoming Marquee tournament.

Their net execution rate must surpass both New Zealand and Bangladesh. However, if New Zealand or defeats Bangladesh on Monday, Pakistan will be officially hit by the tournament alongside Bangladesh.
