What happened to the first ODI between Afghanistan and England?

Afghanistan and England looked at the horns for the first time in ODIS during the ICC 2015 World Cup in Sydney. The race was greatly influenced by the rain and saw a huge number of Overs being removed. England received a revised target of 101 routes under the DLS method and put it down with 9 wickets in hand and 41 balls to be available.

First, Afghanistan fought against the England bowling unit. They only managed to publish 111/7 on the Board of Directors at 36.2 Overs before the rain limits their participation.

Nasir Jamal (17 except 52), Mohammad Nabi (16 except 17) and Shafiqullah (30 off 64) were the only strokes that showed some resistance. For England, Chris Jordan (2/13) and Ravi Bopara (2/31) shine while Stuart Broad, James Anderson and James Tredwell entered each one.

The chase, meanwhile, was done to look like a cakewalk from the English team, with Ian Bell playing the innings of 52 of 56 balls. Alex Hales contributed 37 before falling to Hamid Hassan, the only successful bell of Afghanistan, as England reached 101/1 at 18.1 Overs.
