LA Fires: Los Angeles Lakers NBA coach JJ Reddick loses home in devastating fires | NBA news

Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Reddick has confirmed that his family lost their home in the devastating fires earlier this week.
Fires continue to burn in the US city with at least 11 people killed in the fires and 153,000 people ordered to evacuate.
Reddick said the rental home burned down Tuesday while the Lakers were on the road in Dallas. Redick’s wife, Chelsea, and their two sons were safe away from the neighborhood, but Redick drove to the area Wednesday to see the shocking impact of the fire.
“I’m not sure I’ve cried or cried like that in quite a few years,” Reddick said.
“I was not prepared for what I saw.
“It’s complete devastation and destruction. I had to take a different way home, but I went through most of the village, and it’s all gone. I don’t think you can ever prepare for something like that. Our home is lost.”
Redick, who joined the Lakers last June, has been renting the home in the Pacific Palisades area while they decide where to settle permanently in Los Angeles.
“Everything we owned that mattered to us in almost 20 years together as a couple and 10 years of parenting was in that house,” Reddick said.
“There are certain things that you can’t replace, that will never be replaced. The material is whatever it is. My family and I were processing the side of myself, the individual side, of losing your home, and you never want to I wish it on anyone It’s a terrible feeling to lose your home.’
Reddick is back at work with the Lakers, whose Saturday game against the San Antonio Spurs has been postponed. Their previous match with Charlotte was also canceled due to the fires.
The NFL has already moved the Los Angeles Rams wildcard playoff game on Monday against the Minnesota Vikings in Arizona.
