Liverpool wasted the opportunity to extend their lead to the top of the Premier League to 10 points as they had to come from behind to avoid defeat against Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
At a sparkling meeting at Villa Park, Mohamed Salah gave the leaders of the championship premature lead before the goals from Youre Tielemans and Ollie Watkins before the break he turned the tie on his head.
Trent Alexander-Arnold leveled things shortly after time, as Arne Slot’s team had to be installed for a point.
The result leaves the Reds eight points from the second arsenal, while Unai Emery’s men, who have not lost their home in the Premier League since August, remain in ninth.

How the action unfolded
For the first time a new, retrospective Nike ball was used, but it was a well -known story in the early stages as league leaders began strongly.

Liverpool players were sent early before the restart, with the Slot side looking to fight the tie to their advantage.
And shortly after the hour, it was flat-and with a slice of good luck-when Alexander-arnold shot the wrong Footed Emi Martinez by diverting Tyrone Mings’ foot.
It was formed to be a classic Premier League. The Reds should have taken the lead when Darwin Nunez fell with his goal at his mercy: an opportunity that left his head reception in his hands.

A few minutes later, Donyell Malen, also as a substitute for the villa, could put the visitors forward, but Alisson was equal to it.
Emery’s side then had a second target that was banned after Jacob Ramsey found the net, but again the flag was rapidly brought up.
Mallen again had a chance in death, but eventually the points remained in common.
