‘Lies to the nation’: Trump orbit criticizes Biden for taking credit for ceasefire deal

President Biden is ending his tenure in the White House on a “sad” note after “lying to the nation” and taking credit for a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas during his farewell speech on Wednesday evening, a Trump’s transition official said.
“Joe Biden comes out sad. They are lying to the nation trying to take credit for an agreement that all parties credit President Trump with making happen. Biden has had more than a year to secure the release of these hostages and peace. He failed. Trump succeeded,” a Trump transition official told Fox News Digital on Wednesday night.
War has been raging in the Middle East since October 2023, with Israel and Hamas reaching a cease-fire agreement on Wednesday that also secured the release of hostages.
Biden gave his final address to the nation on Wednesday night, where he took a victory lap for the ceasefire in his opening remarks.
