Luis Rubiales: Former Spanish President FA was found guilty of Kissing Jenni Hermoso without his consent after the Women’s World Cup final | Football news

Former Spanish Football Federation President Luis Rubiales has been found guilty of kissing player Jenni Hermoso without consenting after the final of the Women’s World Cup in 2023.

Spain’s Supreme Court ordered Rubiales to pay a fine of more than £ 8,274 (€ 10,000), but was acquitted by coercion. Prosecutors requested a prison sentence for Rubiales.

The winner of the HERMOSO World Cup has previously stated Rubiales’ trial in Madrid that he “never” agreed with the former Spanish football leader kissing her on his lips – and the moment “was infected one of the happiest days of her life.

Rubiales, 47, was accused of sexual assault and then tried to force Hermoso to declare that the kiss was consensual.

He denied the accusations, claiming that the kiss was consensual and happened in a “moment of joy”.
