Mark Wood: England Fast Bowler has ruled out for four months after knee surgery | Cricket news

The fast Bowler Mark Wood has been ruled out for four months after knee surgery, the Board of England and Wales announced.
Wood manages an ongoing knee issue for more than a year, but has experienced increased stiffness and discomfort during the ICC Champions Trophy champions with Afghanistan in Lahore last month.
Wood will now lose the beginning of England’s summer, but aims to return to complete physical condition by the end of July.
“I am outraged to be out for a long time after England’s representation in all forms since the beginning of last year,” Wood said.
“But I have all confidence that I will be back to all the rollers now that I have managed to sort my knee.
“I would like to thank the surgeon, doctors, staff, teammates and coaches in England for their support – and, of course, our fans, I can’t wait to get back and contribute to what is going to be a huge 2025 for us.”
