Munguia joins forces with Eddy Reynoso trainer

Jaime Munguia will connect with coach Eddy Reynoso to take over as his new coach after his upset loss of knockout with his fifth round at the slightly known Bruno Surace last December.

Talent deficit

This is a pointless, futile movement in Munguia, because Eddy Reynoso is not a magician who will give him magical talents that does not exist. This is like the rearrange deck chairs in a wreck. Reynoso can’t save him.

Munguia (44-2, 35 kos) moves by Erik Morales, the captain of his wreck, in the knockout defeat in the Surace on December 14 in Tijuana, Mexico. Morales did the best he could with Munguia, but he couldn’t block the fists of Surace.

It was just a matter of time before hitting out in this fight, and it wasn’t a shock when it happened. If Munguia had the talent of Erik Morales, he would not have to move on to his third coach.

Reynoso told @Boxazteca7 that he would work with the candidate Super Middleweight Munguia. This will allow Jaime to rub his shoulders with Canelo Alvarez, who gave him a very critical title that shot him last year after his victories against these three fighters:

– John Ryder: *coming from a loss to Canelo
– Sergiy Derevyanchenko: 39
– Gonzalo Gaston Coria

Most would agree Canelo should never have to give Munguia A title based on his three wins in the Super Middleweight, after moving until 168 in 2023. Munguia had appeared awesome against Derevyanchenko, who hit him just a close 12 round unanimous decision on June 10th 2023.

Munguia has lost two of his last three races since he moved to 168 and seems to be not in this category. It is not that it has been washed. It is more than one case of Munguia who does not have the talent to be one of the most important players in 168. He was never so good for a get-go fighter.

Hardcore Boxing fans are well aware that Jaime was always a limited fighter from his way in 2019, when he was given a controversial victory over Dennis Hogan and fell out of the arena by fans. He has been carefully maneuvered around the killers in 154, 160 and 168 to hit the mother’s load with the big Payday against Canelo last year on May 4.

He is more likely to capture a belt in Middleweight, but only because division is barren talent right now. Almost anyone with a piece of skill has a shot to win a zone at 160, which is ideal for munguia.

Vain

Reynoso was Canelo Alvarez’s long -term trainer, but he is not a miracle worker. Although Eddy succeeded with Alvarez, he will not be able to do much with Munguia unless protected by sharks at 168. If 100%protected, he could get a belt if Canelo retires but only if he is carefully fits .

Munguia is expected to face the Surace in a rematch on April 12 in Tijuana. This is a fight that could lose again, and it will not matter a little if Reynoso is in his corner that night. Surace has a right hand that looks like a cobra throwing that Munguia is too slow to block
