A drama set in feudal Japan, Shogun offers amazing stories, impressive visuals and brilliant performances. The limited series is based on the novel by James Clavell, and while its original 10-episode run has ended, the Emmy-winning show has been renewed for more seasons.

This limited series is based on the book of the same name by Patrick Radden Keefe. Set in Northern Ireland, the drama series takes place over four decades during The Troubles. Audiences meet members of the Irish Republican Army in a story filled with politics, murder, violence and emotional conflict. Starring Lola Petticrew, Anthony Boyle and Hazel Doupe. Inner Chinatown (2024)

Adapted from Charles Yu’s novel, the show stars Jimmy O. Young as Willis Wu, an actor who usually has minor roles in police dramas. After witnessing a crime, he decides to start his own investigation in Chinatown, which leads to some unpleasant discoveries about the family and the criminal underworld. This gritty British drama is adapted from Jilly Cooper’s novel of the same name and transports viewers to 1980s England. The long-running rivalry between TV boss David Tennant’s Tony Baddingham and Alex Hassell’s charismatic member of parliament Rupert Campbell-Black is at the heart of the series, which has many subplots. Reservation Dogs (2021-2023)

Co-created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, Reservation Dogs is a drama that follows a group of Native teenagers living on an Oklahoma reservation and trying to get out. What We Do in the Shadows (2019-2024)

Staten Island’s most charming residents are a group of vampires who don’t vamp very well, which is what makes this series so fun and funny. The mockumentary-style comedy follows Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja and Guillermo as they engage in traditional, unconventional and often supernatural exploits in the human world. What We Do in the Shadows completed six seasons in 2024, so all episodes of the series are now available to enjoy.

The award-winning series stars Jeremy Allen White as Carmi Berzatto, a talented chef who comes home to run his brother’s restaurant after his death. Grief, debt and kitchen chaos are just some of what she deals with as she gets the business on the right foot with the help of a young chef played by Ayo Edebiri. The cast also includes Abby Elliott, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Matty Matheson, Lionel Boyce and Liza Colon-Zayas. Stream season three of the series now.

Based on the novel by Charmaine Wilkerson, Hulu’s Black Cake takes viewers back in time as they follow Eleanor Bennett’s journey filled with heartbreak, betrayal and secrets. Her death leaves her children to inherit some of her secrets, while also learning a mother’s love and sacrifice.

Hulu is expanding its K-drama slate, and Blood Free is one of the newest titles to hit the streaming service. The thriller series stars Ju Ji-hoon and Han Hyo-joo in a high-stakes story that investigates the aftermath of a terrorist attack. Nothing is as it seems. J-hoon’s character Woo Chaewoon is determined to find the truth. All of season 1 is now available to stream.

Natasha Rothwell plays Natalie, an airport worker. A close relationship with death takes a different look at his life in this comedy-drama, premiering on Hulu in September. Friendship, loneliness and love are all themes in this fun new series, now in its first season.

Follow the grown-up antics of Jack Dawkins, who leads a band of child thieves in Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. Just as Dawkins has turned his life around and is now a doctor, an old acquaintance calls and brings him back to his old life. It’s unclear if season 2 is for sure, but you can now stream eight episodes from season 1 on Hulu.

Futurama, which is being revived on Hulu after a 10-year hiatus, has 11 seasons available to stream on the platform. The animated comedy tells the story of a group of interplanetary delivery service employees in the 31st century. New seasons are on the way and the series is set to air new episodes in 2026.

If you’re into legal dramas with twists and turns, Reasonable Doubt will hold your interest. Starring Emayatzy Corinealdi as powerhouse defender Jax Stewart, the series follows a high-profile feud, side mystery and drama in Jax’s personal life. You can stream seasons 1 and 2 right now.

Crimes on the Building Only (2021-)

Watch Martin Short and Steve Martin go on a romantic quest with Selena Gomez beyond the wedding plan in this fun comedy series. Neighbors Charles-Haden Savage (Martin), Oliver Putnam (Short) and Mabel Mora (Gomez) can’t keep their noses and fingerprints out of their apartment building’s business. Their mystery-solving skills don’t always get you right at first crack, but they’re fun to watch. Stream season 1 to 4 now.

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War (2022-)

Exclusive to Hulu in the US, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War serves as a sequel to the original Bleach anime series. The action-packed show, along with Ichigo Kurosaki, tries to stop Quincy from destroying Soul Society. Watch the first two seasons now and then skip to the currently airing part 3.

Seth McFarlane created and stars in this intergalactic sci-fi show set on a spaceship. In a futuristic world, Ed Mercer has the chance to lead his own ship and he and his crew explore the galaxy, meet other species and use advanced technologies. The earth is different, the people are different, but not everyone agrees in the Union of Planets. The series eases the tension a bit with comedic relief. Stream all three seasons of The Orville.

The dramedy stars Golden Globe winner Ramy Youssef as Millennial Rami Hassan, the protagonist whose life as a young American Muslim is explored.
