Nintendo teased Mario Kart as the first Switch 2 title

A console is only as good as its games. While Nintendo hasn’t revealed anything in the way of specs for the upcoming Switch 2 platformThe gaming giant revealed what appears to be the first game confirmed for the hybrid platform: a new take on the racing classic, Mario Kart.

After all, it wouldn’t be a proper Nintendo launch without a familiar face. As with the hardware, the details on the game are second to none. If set to launch later this year, it will come five years after the release of Mario Kart Live for the console’s predecessor. It will, in turn, mark the 16th main entry in the series, which launched in 1992 for the Super Nintendo.
