Oppo announced today that Lamine Yamal will be the brand’s new global ambassador. The Barcelona winger will help the company promote its new devices Find the X8 Pro flagship and Reno13 midranger.
Lamine Yamal is being touted as the next soccer superstar. At just 16, he was the youngest player to win a UEFA Euro title and also won the Young Player of the Tournament award at Euro 2024 last summer.
Oppo said in a press release that the company decided to go with the Barcelona-born player because he represents “originality and uniqueness,” values that strongly align with the brand and its smartphones.
