The defense of the whole, the rays were decimated by Indian Governor Rohit Sharma and although they managed to reject it, other Indian strokes were reinforced and gave the black lids a 4 wicket loss.
Speaking during the post -match presentation ceremony, Mitchell Santner said he lost to a better side in the summit, but was happy with the way New Zealand played throughout the competition. Said:
“It was a good tournament. We had challenges along the way. But we’ve grown up as a team and played some good cricket. We hit a good side that appeared today.
“(With the slowdown during the middle passes) it was a good bowling, we lost a few wickers after Powerplay, credit in the way their clones ran, and four of them, world -class, we were 25 down, but we had a total of.
Mitchell Santner also praised Glenn Phillips for producing incredible moments on the pitch. He also said that Rohit Sharma put them under pressure early on his incredible stroke.
“(About Phillips Catch) He continues to do it is not him.
Mitchell Santner threw a rich praise for Rachin Ravindra for his heroine at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and signed by saying it was a big tournament for them. Edited:
“(In Ravindra) We have seen how he goes up to these most important events, has overcome the ball and even the GP, he understands his game at such a young age and even put pressure on India early.
How did New Zealand appear in the previous match of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with India?
In the previous ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against the India team, New Zealand fought hard at Dubai’s international cricket on March 2. However, they lost the race with 44 runs.
Choosing Bowl first, New Zealand started greatly, reducing India to 30/3 in Powerplay and rejecting Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill.
Pacer Matt Henry was the Wrecker leader as he threw a spectacular transfer of five wickets (5/42). Kyle Jamieson, Will O’Rourke, Mitchell Santner and Rachin Ravindra entered a wicket each, ensuring that India did not publish a big score and stopped them for 249 runs.
Singing the target, New Zealand has never found a rhythm as they continue to lose wickets at regular intervals. Rachin Ravindra and Will Young fell early, while Daryl Mitchell and Tom Latham could not take advantage of their starts.
Asteras Batter Kane Williamson appeared as the lonely warrior, as he entered 81 runs from 120 balls, before reaching the 41st. Williamson looked in the middle after spending some time, but had no support from the other end.
From the middle and lower class, Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner fell to Varun Chakravarthy and the rays eventually rushed to 205in 45.3 Overs.
