Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ go global with AI camera features

Realme held an event today to launch the 14 Pro series for international markets. Next to it the previously announced 14 Pro+The 14 Pro was launched with a lower price point, but lacked a periscope camera and had a less powerful chipset.

The Realme 14 Pro models have a 6.83-inch AMOLED display that offers a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a resolution higher than 1080p. These include a fingerprint scanner below the display and a 32 MP front camera located behind the hole.

the main difference between 14 Pro+ and 14 Pro lies in their chipsets: the Plus is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, while the standard version uses the Dimensity 7300 with slightly older CPU cores.

A notable design feature is the Pearl White option, which reacts to temperature changes. The 14 Pro series is the first in the world to change colors from White to Blue as the panel cools down when the temperature drops below 16 degrees.

Realme is very proud of the camera system of the 14 Pro duo, highlighting the Plus model in particular as a standout in camera performance. It has a large 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX 896 sensor and a 50 MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Additionally, the telephoto lens incorporates a periscope design that many other mid-range devices forgo.

The sensor used in the prism lens is a 50MP Sony IMX882, and Realme claims it can achieve 120X SuperZoom. However, it features 3x optical zoom and the rest is digital zoom.

To improve image quality, Realme has incorporated AI Ultra Clarity 2.0 feature. In theory, this innovation reduces blur, minimizes noise in 20x images, and displays distinct super-resolution effects at 60x.

The Realme 14 Pro retains a distinctive triple camera and triple flash setup called “Ocean Oculus”; but only two are functional as the third circle serves only as a cosmetic feature. It has a 50 MP Sony IMX882 main camera. It is complemented by an 8 MP ultra-wide lens with OIS.

Devices with the same footprint indicate that they share the same battery capacity. The Realme 14 Pro series features a 6,000mAh battery that is 15% larger and offers 20% more battery life compared to previous models. It supports 80W fast wired charging, and Realme guarantees 80% battery capacity even after four years of use – that’s equivalent to 1,600 full charge cycles.

The phones come with Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 and have 360-degree NFC (market dependent).

The Realme 14 Pro series goes on sale in India today, with plans to expand to other markets soon. The standard 14 Pro is offered in Black, Purple and Pearl White colors, priced at INR 22,999 ($265) for the 8/128GB version. In contrast, the 14 Pro+ shares similar color and storage options, but comes with a price tag of INR 27,999 ($325).
