Samsung releases a version of the jazz tune Over the Horizon for the Galaxy S25 series

Samsung creates custom ringtones for each generation of Galaxy flagships, and this year the “Over the Horizon” ringtone has been given a charming overhaul.

The 2025 arrangement brings the dynamic rhythms and soulful harmonies of big band jazz and was created by Los Angeles-based pianist and composer Jacob Mann. Check out the official video posted by Samsung on YouTube:

The idea behind the jazz tune is to evoke “an ideal day and a hopeful future.” The live tempo of big band jazz “touches One UI’s journey through the passage of time and the rhythm of everyday life,” Samsung says.

The music begins with soft piano melodies of the morning and moves to the vibrant energy of a night on the town, the composer added. Samsung gave the artist the freedom to explore different instruments before sticking to the piano.

Traditionally, Over the Horizon changes everything that is fashionable with a drop of household culture. Last year’s ringtone was inspired by traditional Korean music; In 2023, it was produced by Korean-born electronic artist Yaeji, while the 2022 release was remixed by SUGA, a member of the wildly popular Korean boy band BTS.
