Samsung’s upcoming Pixel 8a rival is leaking big time, it could launch right after the Galaxy S25

TL;DR
- The Samsung Galaxy A56 has cleared multiple certifications in China, including one detailing the phone’s design.
- The Galaxy A56 will feature a redesigned rear camera housing and the same Key Island design we saw on the Galaxy A55.
- The phone is expected to feature 45W charging, a first for the Galaxy A series.
Samsung’s highly anticipated mid-range model Galaxy A56 has been leaked once again. This time we get to see official specs and images via a certification from China’s Telecom Regulatory Authority, TENAA.
It is suggested that a Pixel 8a its rival, the Galaxy A56, has cleared its certification with the following images added to the list:
Seen before leaked renderingsThe Galaxy A56’s redesigned camera panel is on full display here. It’s similar to the ones on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6, complete with an LED flash on the right. We also see Samsung’s “Key Island” on the right side of the device. This is a design element that consists of a raised platform along the side frame to house the volume and power buttons. Samsung previously used the “Key Island” design on the Galaxy A15, A25 and A55.
Unfortunately, the TENAA listing doesn’t give much away, but we already have a lot of information about the Galaxy A56. Device packaging is expected Exynos 1580 SoC, FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP+12MP+5MP rear camera combo, 5000mAh battery and 45W charging speed for the first time in a Galaxy A series phone.
It is expected that the phone will be presented along with it Android 15 on deck. This means you should have One UI 7 out of the box. This alone tells us that we still have at least a month or so before the Galaxy A56 becomes official, as One UI 7 it will only debut in stable form with the Galaxy S25 series later this month. We assume that Samsung will launch the Galaxy A56 in March, just like the Galaxy A55.
It’s also unclear if the Galaxy A56 will come to the US. Samsung last year skipped initializationMake it country so as not to cannibalize the old S23 line and the S23 FE.
