Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Open: First in TSMC 4NM Node with ARMV9 CPU CORES first

The new SnapDragon comes as a basic increase for 6 gene 4, predecessor and previous designs. It has performance, efficiency, game, AI, camera and audio improvements in all the main areas.
Gen 4 chip will be the first in the Fabbed series in the 4NM Node of TSMC. Previous generations used Samsung from 4nm and a node from TSMC to 6nm.
This generation, ARMV9 based CPU Corpus – Great Cores, Great CORE, Great Core, Great Core, Great Cores and 6 series to use as four Cortex-A520 (1.8GHz) small cores. Previous generations used the ARMV8 design (CORTEX-A78 / A55).
Performance rise compared to Gen 3 chip Interestingly – Despite the generation of generation in the CPU design, the CPU rise is only 11% (measured in Geekbench 5.2).
The new Adreno GPU brings a more important development with a 29% increase in the play. Morcomm, is a mother about details in GPU, but this is a big boost. In addition, the new chip is more than 12% more efficient than its predecessor.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is the first to support the INT4 in the family – it will allow optimized models with a limited amount of RAM. Qualcomm, for example, is working on the generalization of text generalization AI. The company will have a minimum memory request for the LLS working on the device, but did not give a exact number.
LPDDR5 RAM (up to 3200MHz), LPDDR4x (2,133mhz) is also a choice for cheaper design. For storage, Supports Chip UFS 3.1. The string connection includes 4K @ 60Hz, 10-bit colors and USB-C 3.1 that can manage more than HDR10+ external screen.
6 Genes can drive with a 1080p + resolution for 1080p + resolution and up to 144hz. Mobile GPUS draws a page from colleagues on your desktop and supports the Adreno SnapDragon game (upgrade to 4k for 4k games) and the Adreno Frame Motion engine (increases power consumption).

For the camera, the chip has a triple 12-bit ISPs with support for sensors up to 200mp. You can record videos to HDR from 4K, but this resolution is still 30fps in the framework rate. HDR10 and HLG formats are supported for a 3-bit heif. H.265 and VP9 have a hardware acceleration for playback (but no av1).
The connection section is quite familiar. Supports 5G Modem Sub-6ghz (4×4 MIMOs) and MMWAVE (2×2 MIMO) and up to 2.9gbit discount speed. Wi-Fi 6E (802.11Ax), is supported as Bluetooth 5.4 (802.11.1AX) with APTX adaptation. GPS receiver supports triple frequency placement (L1 / L5 / L2).
Realme, Oppo and Honorary, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 will be among the first smartphone manufacturers to launch 3-based devices. There is no exact time, we will hear more “in the coming months.” We heard that India would be one of the first markets to see the new chipset. Apparently, the manufacturers of device manufacturers target a surprisingly low price range of $ 100-150.
