Some of the best Pixel 9 Pro Fold accessories to try (Video)

Google’s most expensive smartphone isn’t short on accessories, but high-quality options for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold aren’t as easy to come by as other phones. Here are some of our favorite options to pair with your phone-tablet hybrid.
Rightly or wrongly, after spending the better part of $2,000 on the Pixel Fold, you won’t have a ton of decent accessories to choose from. It’s unclear why, but even some of the biggest case and accessory manufacturers aren’t including the Pixel 9 Pro Fold this year. The pool of things you can buy to enhance or protect your prized possession is smaller, but full of raw materials. We went over each other to identify some things that could improve your experience.
3-in-1 charging dock
One of the most annoying design changes with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is that it won’t work with the Pixel Stand due to the replacement of the wireless charging coil. That’s why we cried for a high-quality 3-in-1 charger for the Pro Fold that will also charge your headphones, watch and phone. One of the only options I’ve tried is from a brand called MAKAQI. It’s not perfect either, as it doesn’t support the Pixel Watch 2 or 3.

However, it’s the only charger I’ve tested that allows the Pixel 9 Pro Fold to charge open or even two phones side-by-side. If you have an OG Pixel Watch, the flip-out magnetic charging handle is great. Fortunately, it folds up, so you don’t need to use it. I resorted to using it for what it’s worth Spigen S355 charger dock as my primary Pixel Watch 3 charging stand.
Another bonus of this particular charging dock is its foldable design. It folds flat, allowing you to slide it into a bag or drawer when you don’t need it right away. It’s the perfect stand for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold to be open and have power when it’s upright.
dbrand Pixel 9 Pro skin

If you are careful with your valuables and just want a thin protective coating, then how could we not recommend 3M leather. You probably already know that the best in gaming comes from dbrand. The sheer volume of designs and even collaborations sets them apart from any other phone skin manufacturer.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold has two types of skins you can pick up. One for the camera bump or one for the rear glass plate. As you can imagine, there isn’t enough room to get a skin to stick to the silver of the frame on the front. My personal favorite has been a recent Circuit Board collaboration with Linus Tech Tips. It’s a throwback, but it looks incredible in orange. At $30, it’s not cheap, but it adds some color to the Obsidian 9 Pro Fold, which was completely missing — all without adding bulk.
Creesee clear case with MagSafe

Due to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s design, there aren’t many decent full-coverage cases or accessories available. It doesn’t help that many screen protectors are a problem when you put a case or frame on your phone.
My personal favorite is from Mouss. The Super Slim line exceptional for the entire Pixel 9 series, and it’s where I’m going this year. However, there are better full-coverage cases for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold this time around – and at lower prices.
A brand called Creesee makes one such choice. This clear case is excellent. It packs into MagSafe, so you can add more accessories and attachments. It’s fully transparent so you can see the design of your phone and make sure nothing gets trapped in the folding mechanism. Plus, its front cover has an integrated screen protector that doesn’t lift at the corners like other alternatives. For only $15, it’s a steal.
Jsaux phone stand

There aren’t many Pixel 9 Pro Fold cases that I can recommend, so I found a small, durable case that you can carry in your pocket. Known for its production of Jsaux High quality accessories for many devices like Steam Deckbut the folding chaise longue for your phone is great because it’s sturdy, has rubber feet and a base for the Pixel Fold.
Unlike many other kickstands where you can only position it at one height or angle, the Jsaux phone stand can be positioned at multiple angles, up to almost 180 degrees, and won’t budge unless you manually adjust it. Your phone stays in place and won’t slide. It’s made from aluminum alloy, so it can take a beating, and the 105g weight means it won’t wobble or weaken over time. Great for watching movies or as a mini laptop with a virtual keyboard on the bottom and an angled screen.
It also has enough space for a small USB-C charging cable without affecting usability. Unfortunately, they don’t all fit without causing your phone to lift off the tiny plinth. Still, if you stick it in your bag, you’ve got a useful everyday staple.
Wireless keyboard

I love the idea of using the Pixel 9 Pro Fold as a mini workstation on the go. So, in tandem with the stand, I paired it with an old folding wireless keyboard with an integrated touchpad. My Mous triple wireless keyboard is a little long in the tooth, but it works like a dream because I can use all the keyboard shortcuts and the mouse cursor, and it takes up almost no space in my backpack or side bag.
You may not want to do any “real work” on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, but even typing up documents or using the larger desktop-like Chrome browser completely improves how you use the built-in display. Because My Device is discontinued and uses micro-USB, you get updated models with USB-C charging that offer the same integrated experience.
PSA: Screen protectors

There are a few things to note about screen protectors and how well they work with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. If you don’t plan to use a case with your collapsible case, you can get a reliable option from almost any case manufacturer. A cheap 3-pack will run you around $15, but note that the quality may not be up to your standards.
Many screen protectors have problems with the external display when you put a case on it. This is most often seen in the lower left part of the screen. The inside of the case can lift the screen protector, requiring you to reapply or press down to get it to fit properly. TPU screen protectors are less prone to this problem.
