Recently, fans have been treated to a glimpse of this hidden side of the former Australian captain, revealing a more captivating and relatable version of Smith than expected.

In the midst of a hot summer in Australia, high-intensity Test cricket action against India. The 35-year-old had a light chat with him Star Sports anchor Sahiba Bali in a segment known as “Dating a Superstar”. It was during this conversation that a round of rapid fire revealed Smith’s causal side.
Interestingly, rapid fire revealed that Smith’s celebrity crush growing up was Reese Witherspoonthe American film actress who appeared in seasoned movies and TV shows like Legally Blonde, Big Little Lies, The Morning Show and Cruel Intentions.
The anchor during the rapid fire round also asked if the Australian top-order batsman would quit cricket or vacation, to which Smith hilariously replied that he would rather quit cricket. In addition, the former Australian skipper also pointed to the long-term relationship with his wife Dani Williswho Smith revealed was his first girlfriend. The couple married in New South Wales in 2018 after dating for 7 years.

Smith missed a historic milestone in the SCG Test
The Australian batsman may have dealt with the rapid fire off the field, but on the field he couldn’t deal with a quick delivery on a short pitch and missed out on the 10,000-run Test career milestone by one run. Smith reached the crease in the second inning after that Marnus Labuschagne dismissed by the Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna. Smith had 9,995 runs and needed 5 more runs to reach the historic milestone. Just then, a short ball from Krishna got some extra bounce and took an edge off the shoulder of Smith’s bat who was not expecting the extra bounce. Yashasvi Jaiswal he dived to keep the ball and was able to successfully dislodge Smith. The experienced Australian batsman had 9,999 runs at the moment and will now have to wait until Sri Lanka tour to complete his 10,000 test runs.
