Thailand to cut the power of Myanmar Scam Hubs

Thailand cuts electricity, oil supplies, and internet service in five locations in Myanmar at 9 am on Wednesday in suspected Center Center scam scams. Sites located in Payathonzu, Tachileik, and Mawyaddy townships along the border, linked to fraudulent operations that focuses on Thailand, China, and other countries. Authorities are estimated that these scams have a cost of Thailand over 80 million baht per day, worth 86 billion baht overall.

The step was decided by an urgent meeting at the Deputy Prime Minister for Security Phostham Phumtham Wechoyachai. The meeting includes the Interior Minister Anita Charnvirakul, National Security Council Secretary-General Chest Clock Samphanathat Authority (PEA) Prasit Chanprasit.
