The next show from the Creator of the Owl House Looks Good and Freaky

In 2023, Disney fans The house of the owl farewell to the show after having a good one, but still quite truncated run of three seasons. It wasn’t clear what creator Dana Terrace was going to do once he packed up, unless he made a spinoff or prequel of any kind. As it turns out, she has been cooking something for some time, and it looks very intriguing.

Days ago, Terrace and animation studio Glitch (better known for The amazing digital circus) released a teaser for the upcoming web series, Knights of Geneva. The short teaser shows a young woman who looks like a princess, sleeping in a field of flowers and surrounded by animals… just for then smash cut to a robotic woman waking up in a lab as one of her arms lashes out and attacks the scientists who prepare to stop her. That’s all we have, but the harsh transition from whimsical cutesy fairy tale to terrifying body horror makes it clear that this is a Terrace joint. It is also a bit of a reunion, as Terrace co-created (and co-directs) this new series with John Bailey Owen and Zach Marcus, two key The house of the owl writers

Knights of Geneva is billed as a “psychological sci-fi thriller,” and Glitch’s first 2D show. At the moment, none of the three creators are saying much about the plot, but they are more than happy about the hype around their first teaser. (Since the revelation, many staffers on the show they took to sharing their own Artand fanmade art, on social media channels.) The team hopes to put out a pilot later this year, but things can change, and Terrace he said it’s a “long way off”. However, the excitement is palpable: she is excited to “have fun in this new creative space,” and Marcus he was equally enthralled by the “very gentle relaxing show for you all to enjoy.”
