There’s so much new Lego you can buy this January

A new year has begun, and Lego is celebrating in style with absolute swagger the last few quiet months of the year outside the window with a huge number of new sets starting on January 1. It’s time to put aside those shiny piles of plastic bricks you just got for Christmas for the next, even newer and shinier plastic bricks on the way this month: from sets big and small to Marvel, DC , Star Warsand so much more.

January is traditionally one of the biggest months in the Lego calendar year in terms of the number of new sets released, both in the brick manufacturer’s strong lines such as City, Creator, Dreamzzzz, Monkie Kidand more, to the big brand crossovers like Disney, the Marvel and DC Superhero lines, and of course, Lego Star Wars on the back of his blockbuster birthday last year. But there is much more this month beyond that, especially on the game front with the expected arrival of the Mario Kart lineand the return of a Lego Space classic. Lego’s adult-focused Icon series is starting the year strong with some major releases, including the latest modular city buildings, inspired by historic British architecture, and something to tickle the nostalgia centers of any classic Space fan with the return of the villain Blacktron. But there are also a few more practical sets, such as a fantastic Fountain Garden display, and a historical replica of Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous design for a flying machine (which, of course, comes with the first Leonardo Da minifigure win). ?).

There are only a couple of Jurassic sets this month, including an adorable baby T. rex, and the next entry in the Dinosaur Fossils line: a buildable Triceratops skull.

After last month he received the Brave New World tie sets out of the way, this month is a big one for Marvel, covering the original comic-inspired sets, the MCU ones (literally including the Marvel logo!), and even a Across the Spider-Verse riff with Miles and the Spot.
