CyberKongz SEC: The US Securities and Exchange Commission has issued a Wells notice to the NFT gaming project CyberKongzsaid the developers last week, noting the last regulatory inspection of the entity of its type. Wells’ notice informs recipients that the regulator plans to take enforcement action based on findings from preliminary investigations.
“The SEC’s Enforcement Division approached us with rhetoric that you can’t have a label (ERC-20) in tandem with the blockchain game without registering it as a security,” CyberKongz said in a statement Monday. The team added that they will “defend this position for more space.”
Philadelphia 76ers game: NBA team Philadelphia 76ers started “Spectrum Sprint,” a free-to-play mobile game with Web3 elements in collaboration with the Crypto.com team Sponsor since 2021.
The game uses a pixel art style with side-scrolling gameplay that asks players to traverse Philadelphia landmarks and walk down Broad Street toward the team’s former Spectrum Arena. Players unlock digital collections and compete for exclusive prizes at four levels: Rookie, Pro, All-Star and Legend.
