Dushamntha Chameera’s beauty breaks up Kusal Perera
Chameera, known for his pace and accuracy, delivered a beauty to send his fellow Sri Lankan back to the stand. Bowling over the wicket, Chameera bowled a good length ball that went into the top of the off-stump.
Perera, an aggressive left-hander, failed to move his feet effectively and tried to defend with a slightly tilted bat. Unfortunately for him, the ball took a thick inside edge and uprooted the leg stump. The Capitals celebrated jubilantly, knowing they had secured a key player slot.
This dismissal was a textbook example of top-class fast bowling, leaving Perera no margin for error. Chameera’s fiery opening spell set the tone for Dubai Capitals, who looked to capitalize on the early breakthrough.
