The Big Cricket League began on 12 December, with six teams competing in a fast-paced 20-over format. The league aims to bring together some of the best talent in cricket and has already produced some exciting matches. On December 17, in the 11th match of the BCL, Raina’s southern spartans pitted against the Bombay Marines. The match was set against a backdrop of high expectations, and it did not disappoint.

Batting first, the Southern Spartans posted an impressive total of 231 runs for just one wicket. Phil Mustard he led the charge with an impressive century, scoring an unbeaten 140 runs off 69 balls. However, it was Raina’s innings that really electrified the crowd. Arriving at a crucial time, he showed his trademark aggression and finesse, hitting six boundaries and three towering sixes. His ability to find gaps and send balls over the ropes was reminiscent of his prime days with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
