Williams’ title hopes on the line: He has to beat Volny to secure Hearn’s Middleweight Plan

Supporter Eddie Hearn wants to place Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams for a title that shot at Middleweight, but has to win his headliner against Patrice Volny this Saturday, March 15th. Williams (17-1, 12 kos) and Volny (19-1, 13 kos) meet at the 12-Strogyl main event at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida. The event will appear Live in DAZN.

Hearn blames some of Williams’ less impressive performances for not having the perfect preparation. He is “indifferent” to the camp and is not fully “mentally” ready. His eleventh knockout loss in Hamzah Sheeraz last year may be what Hearn is talking about. In this fight, the ammunition was injured early, but failed to go for the dark. “Listen. We want to roll the dice for the Middleweight World Championship with Ammo Williams, but it has to win on Saturday,” Hearn said.
